The nominees for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards were announced today in L.A.. Kanye West, not surprisingly, leads with 8 nominations in all, followed by Amy Winehouse with 6. Feist is a bit of a surprise nominee for Best New Artist (even though this isn’t her first record, but we all know how the Grammy’s work) and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her song “1234″ off of her incredible album The Reminder.

The Best Alternative Album catagory is the best looking by far (as per usual), including Neon Bible (there they go again), Wincing the Night Away, and Volta. Oddly, Bruce Springsteen’s name is nowhere to be found on any of the ‘big lists,’ (though Magic is up for Best Rock Album) and “Hey There Delilah” is up for Song of the Year!? ::Shrugs::

The Grammy’s will air on CBS live from the Staples Center on February 10th.
