Greenwood Wins Best Composer For There Will Be Blood

Radiohead guitarist and Glockenspielist (ha) Johnny Greenwood took home the award for Best Composer at the Broadcast Film Association’s 2008 Critic’s Choice Awards. He won for his original score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.
The score contains excerpts from Popcorn Superhet Reciever, a peice he wrote while the resident composer at BBC (winner of the 2006 British Composer Awards).
The Critic’s Choice Awards aired Monday night on VH1 for the first time. Greenwood was not at the ceremony, but Snoop Dogg accepted the award for him (naturally).
