Saul Williams Announces Tar Spangled Banner Tour
Super talented Writer, Rapper, Poet, Actor, General Badass Saul Williams announced dates for a “Tar Spangled Banner Tour,” which would kick off at SXSW in March. Williams released his latest album The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust on his siteon the Pay What You Want Radiohead Plan (and was free for the first 100,000 downloaders).
Williams wrote a pretty lengthy explanation of the concept of the album on his myspace; “Trent Reznor has become the big brother I never had, offering his insight, expertise, and shared desire to fuck up the system while believing fully in the power of music and the intelligence of the masses.”
He also mentions the tour and plans to incorporate other aspects of his art into the live show, as well as collaborating with other artists of all kinds.
