Songoftheday: “Ghost Under Rocks” by Ra Ra Riot

Ra Ra Riot already have a bit of a story to tell in their young career. They’ve already toured the UK and opened for many big acts behind the strength of their self-released EP, and their original drummer died after missing from a house party in the summer of ’07. The band announced this May that they had signed on to Barsuk to release their debut LP, The Rhumb Line.
Listening to the available tracks on their myspace from that record, it was hard to pick just one that stood out. Their catchy indie rock songwriting works well on all of these, but I went with “Ghost Under Rocks,” mostly cause I’m a sucker for those sensitive string sections.
The Rhumb Line is set for a September 29 release.
