LCD Soundsystem Feat. Kermit “New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down”
You’d think I’d be 6 hours ahead of the news instead of about 24 behind, seeing as I’m across the pond this week in Edinburgh eating Baguette Express (effing yum). Ah well, I’ll be back on New York time in a couple of days, at which point I can truly appreciate this amazing video (and maybe visit the rock in Brooklyn where the bulk of it was filmed).
Man, can I relate to this track off of LCD Soundsystem’s Sound of Silver. This really might be the best video of the year. Here is a completely random shot of Kermit the Frog singing LCD’s “New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down,” which turns out to be not so random after all. James Murphy (aka LCD Soundsystem) could possibly make a surprise appearance at the end of this.
Brilliant.
“Your billionaire Mayor’s now convinced he’s a King” certainly has proven to be one of the many spot on lyrics in this song.
