David Gray Making of “Fugitive” – “Other Side” Live @ Abbey Road
Remember David Gray? He reminds me of the good old days, when there was still WLIR to listen to during drives to Jones Beach with the windows down and “Please Fortgive Me” comes on as you finally get out far enough on the Meadowbrook that you can smell the ocean; Before Coldplay when it was still OK to like sht like this. Sort of.
The British singer/songwriter is working on his first album since 2005′s Life in Slow Motion (not including his Greatest Hits from two years ago), and while the new single hasn’t leaked just yet, the “making of” video above has been floating around for a few days. My favorite part is “the car test.” I’ve done that.
The new album, Draw the Line is due in September, while “Fugitive” should be online any day now.
And because it’s so damn good, here’s a performance of my favorite David Gray song, “The Other Side,” live from Abbey Road.
