Feel Like Taking Home the New Brendan Benson
Am I the only one that would have taken Brendan Benson’s upcoming My Old, Familiar Friend over the last two Raconteurs albums? Probably.
Stereogum premiered “Feel Like Taking You Home,” the first official solo offering from Benson since 2005′s Alternative to Love. My Old, Familiar Friend uses proper grammar via comma, and is due August 18…and will be outstanding if it’s half as good as anything on One Mississippi or Lapalco. If you’ve never heard Benson’s solo stuff (click on those links, for starters), think…Ben Folds, but more consistent…and, um, better.
