Adele Takes It All, Makes Me Feel Her Love
Over my weekend in LA, I got a chance to catch a show at the Hollywood Bowl (bench tickets, wha!). Luckily for me, Adele happened to be headlining the KCRW World Festival Sunday, and was backed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. It ended up being one of the better shows I’ve been to, despite the British singer forgetting half of her lyrics and botching a tribute to Michael Jackson. She was too adorable for anyone to be mad, and her voice far too magnificent.
“Take it All,” a new track that she premiered that night, was actually written earlier that day. After messing up a handful of songs on account of nerves (“I feel like Beyonce, there’s so many of you”), Adele delivered the best performance of the night with this one (and remembered all the words). “Take it All” was preceded by “Hometown Glory,” and her cover of Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.” By this point, my friend and I were a mess. Adele is emotionally draining, but wonderful.
This video is actually pretty decent qaulity. I guess this is what the screens looked like from the $400 seats.

She’s adorable. She’s talented. She’s gonna last.
