Titus Andronicus “A More Perfect Union” MP3

If Jersey-rock were a genre, it would sound like Titus Andronicus. The subtle (and not so subtle) influences of Bruce Springsteen, summers on the shore, classic punk rock, rebellion, and the Garden State Parkway mesh together to make up Titus Andronicus’ unmistakable sound. The band’s debut XL release is their second full length, and, according to the band, is heavily themed around the Civil War. The Monitor’s lead-off track, “A More Perfect Union,” is 7+ minutes of pure Jersey-rock. This didn’t grab me at first, but thanks for the sway, Blue Hoodie.
The Monitor is due March 9.
