MGMT Do “Flash Delirium” and “Brian Eno” on SNL, Still Bizarre
MGMT took Congratulations to SNL last night, and they seem to have somehow managed to make their already challenging new material even less accessible live. The jury is still out on my official numerical opinion of the album, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t hum along to “Flash Delirium,” above. However, I’d also be lying if I said this wasn’t all still sort of bizarre.

agreed with the bug-eyed guy as an extreme oddity. he was highly distracting throughout the whole thing. and not in a good way.
other than that i can’t help but love MGMT. i think they are amazing even though their new album is much less radio friendly.

The Brian Eno song is weird… are they hoping it will help them meet him? And what was with the long-haired guitar player and his bug-eyed expressions? I’m still not sure what to make of these guys.
