The latest in a series of label mixtapes for Wow Magazine comes from Young Turks, home of The XX, El Guincho, Holy Fuck, Glasser, and more. The So So Deaf mix features new tracks from label releases by Dog Bite, Kwes, and Sampha, as well as other random selections (Strong Arm Steady, Chris Brown) in response to the question, “What do you want us to hear?”

The Walkmen’s latest LP, Lisbon, sounds very much like what I imagine the rainy season in a Portuguese city to sound like. The You & Me follow-up is streaming below, via NPR, until its September 14 release.

“Monster” by Kanye West feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver & Nicki Minaj

After a couple of singles released across the pond over the past few months, including the wonderfully obnoxiously 80s “Better Than Love”, Hurts are set to release their RCA debut, Happiness, next week. The Manchester duo were saving their biggest punch for last in power-pop ballad, “Devotion” featuring Kylie Minogue.

If you were not expecting 2 new releases from Sufjan Stevens this year, you are not alone. While the first had a very Sufjan state-album era folk vibe, his upcoming full length, The Age of Adz, has a “deliberately electronic” disclaimer. “I Walked” is the first incredibly delicious taste of the record, due October 12. Since I started dancing at 9am this morning (not literally, but I’ve been dancing in my mind), I thought I’d bring the party into 11am with a new track from J-WOW of Buraka Som Sistema with Mexican DJ, Toy Selectah. “Mo’chaxo” comes from Enchufada’s Hard Ass Sessions Volume III, a compilation that encourages re-interpretations of Kuduro “through the lens of their own experiences.” The Portuguese label will release the comp on September 7.

“FM Tan Sexy” is the second track to surface from El Guincho’s long-awaited sophomore LP, Pop Negro. It’s yet another vintage tropical afrodub Caribbean dance party from the Spanish beat maker, streaming below via GvsB. The Alagranza follow-up is due September 13 via Young Turks.

Providence, Rhode Island’s Deer Tick recently dropped their 3rd release in 2 years, and have just announced a non-stop fall tour  in support of the record. The Black Dirt Sessions, named after the upstate New York studio where it was recorded, has a darker, more ‘Black Dirt’ appropriate sound than the band’s previous releases. Forgive me, internet, for just now finding this stream of S. Carey’s debut album, All We Grow.

The Bon Iver drummer was recruited for Justin Vernon’s live band after the release of For Emma, Forever Ago in 2008, and has since been working on his own music during breaks. All We Grow is very Vernon esque in many ways (all good). Whether or not that’s a cause or effect of Carey drumming for the band is unknown. The NPR stream below is only good for today, as All We Grow is out now on Jagjaguwar.
