Duffy’s Rockferry was one of my favorite pop records of 2008, but somewhere between then and now I lost track of the progress on her follow-up. That War Child Heroes compilation is going to be very good if this lovely Duffy cover of Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” and The Hold Steady’s “Atlantic City” are any indication. I <3 good covers.

Duffy has a pretty strange morning after in the video for Rockferry’s fourth single, “Stepping Stone.” Sorry about that Duffy. And it also looks like she goes out that night and cheats on the guy. But it’s OK because this song is amazing.
