Interpol Do “Barricade” on Jimmy Kimmel
Here’s “Barricade” live on Jimmy Kimmel last night – another opportunity to get used to Interpol’s live show without Carlos D’s George Mcfly hairdo being the most interesting thing to look at (and with the addition of live keyboardist Brandon Curtis of Secret Machines). The new self-titled release has been waving at me desperately from [...]

Interpol’s Closely Guarded “Lights” Ritual Video
In Interpol’s latest Charlie White (Interpol’s “Evil”) directed video for “Lights” (the lead-off single from their upcoming self-titled LP4), a closely guarded pheromone-harvesting ritual is about to begin deep within the inner chambers of the three-horned Rhinoceros Beetle. I hate when that happens?

Twin Tigers “Red Fox Run” Video, Tour Dates With Interpol
Twin Tigers, an Athens, Georgia band with the words “DREAM NOISE” as the headline on their Myspace page, were recently announced as the opener for Interpol’s upcoming Carlos D-less tour (in support of their new, yet unnamed album feat. “Lights”). Above, check out Twin Tiger’s small budget video for “Red Fox Run”, the [via DREAM [...]

Interpol Free Download of “Lights” And Intimidating New Font
Interpol are ’stirring.’
Even though the band has sort of become a more watered down version of themselves with each album (just me?), I’ve still enjoyed all of them. On “Lights,” they do somewhat resemble their undiluted form. The new 5 and a half minute track really picks up around the 3:20 mark. No details, except [...]

Interpol’s “Untitled” in New Big Love Trailer
Big Love hits the Best Songs of the 2000’s hard with their new ‘trailer’ (which, really, is just another teaser) for Season 4 the phenomenal HBO drama about Bll Paxton and his crazy b*tches. This is pretty much a music video for Interpol’s “Untitled,” the lead-off track from their debut, Turn on the Bright Lights.

Interpol Lead Singer’s Secret Single, “Fun That We Had”
I have a feeling that this is going to get confusing.
Interpol’s spent a lot of time (and a lot of albums) perfecting a persona of sorts that consists of their spiffy black suits, sunglasses, and accompanying dark-shaded indie-rock. It is pretty disorienting to see lead singer Paul Banks dressed like a normal dude. Maybe that [...]

M.I.A., Sigur Ros, Interpol confirmed for Latitude Fest
I guess this is another halfway decent line-up (that’s sarcasm). England’s Latitude Festival (more than just a “music” festival) will feature performances by some bands and stuff that I don’t really like (sarcasm again). The fest takes place at Helham Park Southwold in Suffolk the weekend of July 17-20. Sigur Ros, M.I.A., Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, [...]

Entertainment Weekly’s “Indie Rock 25″
Entertainment Weekly named the 25 definitive indie rock albums of the last 25 years, one album per year. There were some rules, like “the term ‘band’ must be taken literally (thus eliminating otherwise unimpeachable artists like Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, and Cat Power),” and “the bands had to have signed to an independent label for [...]

Interpol, There’s No "I" in Threesome?
Well, well. If it isn’t Interpol. The coolest indie (EDIT: mainstream) band this side of the Atlantic. Two releases on Matador and 800 Joy Division comparisons later, Interpol have emerged with a major label debut so confusing, that no one has any idea whether it’s good or not. Lead singer and guitarist Paul Banks blankets [...]
