M83 visited Jimmy Fallon last night to absolutely destroy “Midnight City” from the band’s latest LP Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. If you like double albums full of songs that are just as good as this one you’d probably love it.

M83′s 2011 highlight, “Midnight City”, gets an official video directed by Fleur & Manu starring super scary children going H.A.M. with their magic eyes. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming (full stream here) is phenomenal, out tomorrow on Mute.

This M83 video is unofficial (and so is the leak the song came from). “Wait” is a slow growing acoustic guitar based track from the middle of Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’s first disc, and confirms early that this is Best Albums best. Hurry Up is due October 18 on Mute.

The new M83 single is not the track from that unbelievable album teaser. Instead of being about contemplating the meaning of life and our planet and the universe, it’s more about dancing to cool synths. Stream/download, below. This could in all seriousness be the best minute and a half album teaser video I have ever seen. M83 (via Best) are prepping LP 6 (as yet untitled) with some monumental keyboard riffs and inspiring shots of cities, forests, oceans, flowers, clouds. insects, fog, mountains, airplanes. New album. Solid Gold got robbed in Brooklyn (all the cool kids are doing that now), but they weren’t upset about it.
