The Walkmen didn’t exactly perform on Last Call with Carson Daly last night, but a live performance of “Angela Surf City” from their Henry Fonda show in LA last Wednesday was shown in their guest spot. Lisbon is out now and is being listened to a lot alot.

The Walkmen recently performed new music from their latest album, Lisbon (out today), as well as songs from 2008’s You & Me, for French blog, La Blogoteque (full performance above). If you’re headed to The Music Box tomorrow for their show with Japandroids (yes, very), prepare for similar levels of heart-shredding fantasticness.

The Walkmen’s latest LP, Lisbon, sounds very much like what I imagine the rainy season in a Portuguese city to sound like. The You & Me follow-up is streaming below, via NPR, until its September 14 release.

Another coincidentally New York themed post for today; The Walkmen recently performed new songs from their upcoming LP, Lisbon, at the New York Public Library’s Schwarzman Building on 5th Avenue for the Gothamist House Series. “Woe is Me” and “Blue as Your Blood” get some nice acoustics, below.
