U2 “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight” From U2360° DVD

If you’re one of the many people (thousands upon thousands…maybe millions?!) who had tickets to U2’s upcoming 4th leg of the 360° tour, well, sucks. But (and this hardly will suffice for someone who booked a trip home to New York around the band’s upcoming Meadowlands tour date – ouch), the band will be releasing [...]

Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Best Albums of 2009 Cracks Me Up

I’m afraid my gripes with this one go way beyond a comment/Tweet/Facebook status update. Based almost entirely on the top 2, Rolling Stones’s Top 25 Best Albums of 2009 is easily the worst ‘best of’ list the magazine has ever done (counting year end albums lists only, cause Lord knows they’ve made a metric ton [...]

U2 “Sunday Bloody Sunday” @ MTV EMA Awards, Jay-Z is Everywhere

I’m trying to figure out how Jay-Z managed to perform last night in Berlin with U2 for the MTV Europe Music Awards, and then got himself to Manhattan by this morning to ride in the Yankee parade and do “Empire State of Mind” at City Hall. Dude is everywhere.
Anyway, the above performance was part of [...]

U2 360º Tour Opening Night Photos, The Claw

U2 kicked off their 360º Tour last night in Barcelona, and unveiled their “stainless steel and aircraft aluminum structure with a display made of 888 LED screens, with 500,000 pixels spanning across them…a screen area of 3,800 square feet and weighs approximately 120,000 pounds.” It’s otherwise known as “The Claw.”
Reminds of something out of a [...]

“Get On Your Boots” Justice Remix?

Apparently, yes. I’ll save all of the comments about how this is better than the original.

Album Review: U2 No Line on the Horizon

5.333333333
I wanted to steer clear of verbose negative reviews so not to have the unsubtle snobbery of certain music publications that will remain un-named (but linked). However, when compared to the blind admiration given by other music publications that will also remain un-named (but also linked), it doesn’t seem so bad. I suppose me meeting [...]

U2 Take Over New York (or Part of 53rd Street)

Not only did the city of New York name 53rd between 10th and Broadway “U2 Way,” but the band has been playing a residency on David Letterman this week to promote their new album, No Line on the Horizon, that kicked off Monday with a performance of “Breathe,” followed by last night’s “Magnificent.” I guess [...]
